A musician since childhood

Mikhail has been in music since childhood. He graduated with honours from the P. Ya. Kovalevsky Children’s Music School in piano and solo singing. He then studied at the Omsk Music and Pedagogical College and later studied pop and jazz vocals at the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art, and in 2013 earned the qualification “Concert Singer, Ensemble Soloist, Teacher”, with top marks in his exams and thesis. After graduating, he worked as an assistant to an associate professor in the institute’s Department of Pop and Jazz Singing. He is a prize-winner of regional and international competitions for pianists and performers, and a multiple winner of Moscow competitions among laureates.

Method

Mikhail teaches Complete Vocal Technique (CVT), a European method, and was among the first in Russia to study and adapt it. Its main strength is clarity: the student understands how and why every sound is made. The son of a doctor, he regularly assesses voices together with ENT specialists and phoniatrists. He has studied Emelyanov’s phonopedic method, phoniatrics and the works of Husson and Dmitriev. His article “The Neutral Way of Singing” is based on his graduation thesis.

Online vocal lessons

What sets my lessons apart is adapted vocal warm-ups that I send before the lesson, tailored to each student.

It is always a high-quality recording, so you can practise in a relaxed setting without any audio delay, prepare for the lesson and ask any follow-up questions during the online session.

All warm-ups stay in your shared chat, and you can return to them whenever you like.

Questions and answers

Find an answer or open the question you need.

How do the online vocal lessons work?

Online lessons take place over Zoom or Yandex Telemost. Both have studio-grade noise suppression, so your voice comes through clearly and the lesson is as thorough as in a classroom.

Can I take vocal lessons over Skype?

Many people used to study over Skype, but Microsoft shut it down in 2025. Online vocal lessons now run over Zoom or Yandex Telemost, the same way they once did on Skype, with studio-grade noise suppression.

What do I need for an online lesson?

Just a phone and a computer, or two phones. Nothing else.

How much is an online lesson and how long does it last?

An online lesson lasts 60 minutes and costs from $200.

How do I pay for an online lesson from abroad?

You can pay by international transfer to a European card.

What time are the lessons?

The time is agreed with you; Moscow time is used as the baseline.

Is there a trial lesson?

No. The first lesson is the same as every other: one to one, personally with Mikhail.

How often should I take lessons?

Ideally twice a week. On average, Mikhail plans 10 lessons to build a foundation.
